BURBANK — Burbank police took three people into custody Thursday following a high-speed pursuit in which an officer was injured in a crash.
The pre-dawn chase led to the area of Magnolia Boulevard and Mariposa Street, where the suspect vehicle stopped and the occupants ran off, according to ABC7.
One suspect was stopped by police in a nearby backyard, and another was caught a short time later. The third suspect was taken into custody following a perimeter search that prompted closure of several neighborhood streets.
The suspects, whose names were not immediately available, were wanted in connection with a catalytic converter theft. A Burbank police officer was treated for injuries suffered in a crash during the chase and was reported in good condition.
During the search for the suspects, area residents were advised to lock their doors and be on the lookout for suspicious activity.
