4 suspects sought for hate-crime attack at Koreatown Metro station

Four men were being sought on Monday, March 6, for a hate-crime beating of a man at a Metro station in Koreatown, Los Angeles police said.

The crime occurred about 7:10 p.m. on Feb. 26 in the 3700 block of Wilshire Boulevard.

The assailants approached the victim on the platform as he was waiting for a train, and then began punching him in the face until he lost consciousness, police said.

One assailant made a derogatory comment to the victim, “targeting the victim’s ethnic background,” before he was assaulted, the LAPD said.

The men are in their early 20s and wore dark clothing. Police asked that anyone with information about the beating to call them at 877-LAPD-24-7 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
