99 Ranch Market set to open in Eastvale

Asian grocery chain 99 Ranch Market will open a new store Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 4956 Hamner Ave. in Eastvale.

It will be the Buena Park-based company’s 58th location, with a grand opening set for 8 a.m. Saturday, Feb 11.

Founded in 1984, Tawa Supermarket, Inc. owns the 99 Ranch Market chain and touts itself as the “Gateway to Asia.” The stores offer a variety of everyday staples, including fresh produce, live seafood, popular snacks, delicacies and items that are near impossible to find in conventional supermarkets.

The 36,000-square-foot Eastvale market is located in The Station shopping center and will carry more than 10,000 items across six departments. It will also have a deli and full-service bakery.

Tawa Supermarket Group CEO Alice Chen said the company’s mission is to provide customers with “high-quality products at competitive prices.”

“Our strategy expansion to Eastvale allows us to serve the growing Asian-American customers in the Inland Empire, while also reaching new diverse audiences,” Chen said in a statement. “We are committed to evolving our brand to meet the needs of all shoppers, regardless of ethnicity or familiarity with Asian food.”

The first 100 customers on Saturday, Feb. 11 and Sunday, Feb. 12 with a same-day purchase receipt and redemption voucher will receive a $20 gift card. On Saturday there will also be a lion dance, a bluefin tuna cutting show and other promotions and activities

Tawa owns and operates 63 stores across 10 states under all of its banners, including 99 Ranch Market, 168 Market and Cravings by 99 Ranch Market, as well as e-commerce and mobile formats.

99 Ranch Market operates stores throughout Southern California in such communities as Van Nuys, Gardena, Alhambra, San Gabriel, Monterey Park, Anaheim, Irvine, Chino Hills and Corona.
