SUNLAND — A two-vehicle crash Thursday in Sunland left two people injured, one critically.
Paramedics were sent to the 8600 block of Foothill Boulevard about 9:50 a.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
A man in his 40s was trapped in the wreckage of one vehicle and was freed by firefighters, then taken to a hospital in critical condition, the LAFD reported.
A woman in her 70s was taken to a hospital in serious condition, the LAFD reported.
The vehicles involved were a Honda Civic and a Ford Mustang, said a photographer at the scene. It took 45 minutes to extricate the critically injured man from the Mustang, the photographer said.
The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
