Street Food Cinema hosts ‘Bloody Valentines’ film series in Los Angeles

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a trio of blood-filled, heart-pumping, downright terrifying horror films.

Street Food Cinema, which hosts themed movie screenings year-round, is getting into the evil spirit of Valentine Day’s and bringing its Bloody Valentines series to the historic Million Dollar Theatre in downtown Los Angeles.

“It’s an alternate Valentine’s experience,” said Maudi Harley, a spokesperson for Street Food Cinema. “It’s for people that maybe don’t want that traditional date but we still have that kind of romantic feel.”

Aside from the film screenings inside the ornate theater, night one of the series will also include a pre-show Q&A with Riverside-born actress Marguerite Moreau, who portrays the vampire Jesse in “Queen of the Damned.” And during the shows on Feb. 11 and 14, there will be a vampire-themed cabaret show happening prior to the screenings.
