The City of Inglewood marked the unveiling of Virgil Patterson Sr. Lane, honoring longtime faith leader Bishop Virgil Patterson Sr. for his decades of service to the community. The street dedication followed a unanimous October 7, 2025, vote by the Inglewood City Council to rename a portion of East Tamarack in recognition of Patterson’s 47-year leadership as founder of Crusade Christian Faith Center and his work as an educator, preacher, businessman, and gospel music figure. Patterson’s ministry has provided drug and alcohol rehabilitation counseling, rental assistance, trauma-informed care training, youth mentorship, arts education, international missions, and food distribution to more than 10,000 families. The ceremony, held at Crusade Christian Faith Center, featured the church’s choir and dancers and included proclamations from city leaders acknowledging Patterson’s lasting impact on Inglewood.
