El Torito Mexican Restaurant will be giving away free tacos after 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, to mark its 68th anniversary.
Choices from a build-your-own-taco bar will include chicken, steak, carnitas or al pastor, according to a news release.
The celebration will include $4 street corn, $4 queso dip, $8 chicken flautas, $4 draft beers and $6 signature margaritas.
El Torito was founded in 1954 by World War II veteran Larry J. Cano. It became known for its tableside guacamole and margaritas.
The chain currently has 31 restaurants in California. Its parent company, Xperience Restaurant Group, is based in Cypress.
