Willie Nelson will celebrate his 90th birthday at the Hollywood Bowl

Country music legend Willie Nelson turns 90 years old on April 29 and he’s throwing a big ‘ol birthday bash with several of his best buddies at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on April 29-30.

“I can’t think of a better way to spend my 90th birthday than being surrounded by family, friends and of course the fans who made all this possible,” Nelson said in a press release issued Tuesday morning. “It’s an honor to perform with such an incredible group of artists at such an iconic venue.”

Long Story Short: Willie Nelson 90 will include performances by Nelson, Allison Russell, Beck, Billy Strings, Bobby Weir, Charley Crockett, Chris Stapleton, Edie Birckell, Kacey Musgraves, Leon Bridges, Lukas Nelson, Lyle Lovett, Margo Price, Miranda Lambert, Nathaniel Rateliff, Neil Young, Nora Jones, Orville Peck, Particle Kid, Rosanne Cash, Sheryl Crow, Snoop Dogg, Sturgill Simpson, The Avett Brothers, The Chicks, The Lumineers, Tom Jones, Tyler Childers, Warren Haynes, Ziggy Marley and more artists to be announced in the coming weeks.

Each evening will offer a unique concert experience filled with once-in-a-lifetime performances and collaborations. Two-day packages for the general public will go on sale starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28 at Ticketmaster.com. Fans can find more information about presale options at willienelson90.com.

Nelson’s career spans seven decades and he’s the subject of a five-part documentary film, “Willie Nelson and Family,” that’s slated to premiere at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival. He’s also nominated for four Grammy awards this year including best country solo performance for “Live Forever” from “Live Forever: A Tribute to Billy Joe Shaver,” best country song with “I’ll Love You Till The Day I Die” off of his 2022 album of the same title, which is also nominated for best country album, and he’s nominated in the best roots Gospel album category for “The Willie Nelson Family.”
