Chargers sign Cameron Dicker to active roster, place Dustin Hopkins on IR

The Chargers on Tuesday signed kicker Cameron Dicker to their active roster from their practice squad and placed kicker Dustin Hopkins on injured reserve because of a hamstring injury that has sidelined him for the past three games. Hopkins will miss at least the next four games.

Dicker was named the AFC’s Special Teams Player of the Week after kicking two field goals in the fourth quarter of the Chargers’ 20-17 victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Nov. 6, including the winner from 37 yards as time expired. He also made both extra points during the game.

Dicker has made all seven field-goal attempts and all six extra points in three games with the Chargers. He made his NFL debut with the Philadelphia Eagles earlier in the season and converted two field goals, including the winner in a victory over the Arizona Cardinals, and two PATs.
