Coronavirus: L.A. County reported 6,935 more cases and 62 more deaths over the holiday weekend

Los Angeles County public health officials reported 6,935 more cases of the coronavirus since Friday, bringing the total number of cases to 3,638,639 as of Tuesday, Jan. 3.

Officials reported 62 more deaths linked to the coronavirus since Friday for a total of 34,730 deaths since tracking began.

According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccines dashboard, 77% of Los Angeles County is fully vaccinated with 21,292,185 doses administered.
