Dameon Porter out as Crespi football coach after winless season

Dameon Porter is out as head football coach at Crespi High after five seasons.

An email went out to football families Tuesday stating, “Dameon Porter is departing from his position as the head football coach,” which was confirmed by school athletic director Brian Bilek.

Porter went 16-31 in his five seasons at the helm, including an 8-5 season in 2019. The Celts went 0-10 this season and were outscored 495-104.

Porter became the program’s 17th head coach when he was hired in 2018 after being the head coach at Simi Valley High. He previously served as Crespi’s offensive coordinator as well as the quarterbacks and wide receivers coach in 2009 and 2013.

Crespi will begin its search for a new head coach immediately.
