Disneyland adds more low-priced tickets just before peak summer season

Disneyland has begun making good on a promise to boost the number of low-priced days by approximately 50% in 2023 with a handful of dates in early June at the cheapest $104 price level.

Disneyland has rolled out five dates in June when ticket prices will be $104 — a dramatic increase from a year earlier when there were zero low-priced tickets during the busy summer month.

Single-park tickets are available for $104 for Disneyland or Disney California Adventure on June June 1, 5, 6, 7 and 8 — just before the traditional peak summer season.

Disneyland officials announced in January that the Anaheim theme park will offer nearly two months of dates in 2023 with daily tickets at $104 — the lowest price for a one-day, one-park admission.

Disneyland introduced tiered pricing in 2016 with lower prices during slower periods of the year and higher prices during the busiest seasons. Since then, the park has expanded the number of ticket tiers and raised prices on the top end while holding the lowest price steady at the $104 level.

So far this year, Disneyland has offered 8% more $104 days than last year. The Mouse House needs to improve that pace if it hopes to increase the number of low-priced days by approximately 50% in 2023.

Disneyland only releases pricing calendars for about four months out — which currently extends through early June for 2023. The park has so far offered $104 tickets on 26 days from January to June of this year compared to 24 days during the same period last year.

That means Disneyland will have to sprinkle 30 to 35 more $104 days into the last six months of 2023 — just as the calendar tips into the busy summer months followed by the even busier Halloween and Christmas seasons.

Disneyland’s most likely strategy will be to convert mid-priced days from July to December to the lowest $104 price.

So where will those low-priced days land? Disneyland hasn’t said yet, but based on the 2022 pricing calendar it’s possible to make some educated estimations. The most likely spots to drop more $104 days would be between late August and early November.

The dates for the lowest priced ticket tiers typically fall on Mondays through Thursdays — with most on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
