Emmys 2022: Biggest moments of the award show in GIFs

There were so many epic moments at Monday night’s 74th Primetime Emmy Awards.

And so many GIFs summed up the excitement of the gold carpet arrivals of stars including Zendaya, Andrew Garfield, Jung Ho-yeon, Issa Rae, Kristen Schaal and Jerrod Carmichael; awards for “Squid Game,” “Ted Lasso” and “Succession”; first-time wins for Quinta Brunson and Jennifer Coolidge; and inspiring acceptance speeches by Sheryl Lee Ralph and Lizzo.

Let’s have a look at some of the best GIFs of the show:

Kenan Thompson, who won an Emmy in 2018 for his work on “Saturday Night Live,” hosted TV’s biggest night.

Oprah was there. That’s how big the Emmys are. Who would miss out on this watch party? The Queen of Talk Shows and, let’s face it, all media, gave out the first award of the night to Michael Keaton for leading actor in “Dopesick.”

Keaton addressed his fans – and his haters. “I’ve had some doubters and, you know what, we’re cool.”

Sheryl Lee Ralph won the night, and Twitter, with her speech.

Lizzo followed her with another moving speech for the “big girls.”

Jennifer Coolidge was the funny-awkward-perfect Jennifer Coolidge we love as she accepted her first Emmy.

And others just gave thanks … some just “to be nominated,” or so they’ve heard, like Regina King.

Some were surprised like Jason Sudeikis from the hit “Ted Lasso.”

The always-gracious Zendaya spoke of gratitude in her speech.

And “Abbott Elementary” writer-producer Quinta Brunson praised her co-showrunners and her husband (and others) after her first Emmy win.

Finally, let’s close it out with Jerrod Carmichael’s Emmy win.

Any faves we missed? Send ’em our way in the comments.

Thanks for watching!
