Grinchmas, Christmas in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter return to Universal Studios on Nov. 25

Though the theme park is in the middle of its annual Halloween Horror Nights scare-a-thon, Universal Studios Hollywood is already thinking about packing up the skeletons, ghosts and goblins and decking out the park in millions of twinkling lights as it transitions into the Christmas season starting Friday, Nov. 25.

Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will bring the spirit of the season to life inside Hogsmeade Village, which will be completely transformed into a winter wonderland with whimsical decor lining the streets, windows and doors of each little shop. Guests can duck into The Three Broomsticks and Hog’s Head Pub for the seasonal Hot Butterbeer and check out daily holiday a cappella performances by the Hogwarts Frog Choir.

At night, Hogwarts Castle will become the main attraction as The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle returns and casts an impressive light projection show upon the surface of the castle along to a musical score that includes selections from the “Harry Potter” franchise.

The Grinch is back, too, along with his trusty canine companion, Max, and other Who-ville characters from “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” inside the cheerfully decorated Universal Plaza. The 65-foot-tall Grinchmas tree will be on display and there will be nightly tree lighting ceremonies where guests can listen to the Grinch tell his holiday tale before firing up thousands of LED lights on the tree and unleashing a flurry of snow on the crowd.

The adjacent Universal CityWalk will be decorated as well, with a 40-foot-tall Christmas tree located just outside Universal Cinema, and Voodoo Doughnut will be offering seasonal flavors in honor of the holiday, too.

All holiday activities will run daily through Jan. 1 and are included with the price of admission. Tickets start at $104-$109 for single-day general admission; $179-$189 for Universal Express; and $379 for the VIP Experience. All passes are available at universalstudioshollywood.com.
