Kansas Jayhawks quarterback and Los Angeles native Jalon Daniels is joining forces with his mother, Starr Daniels, to host the 1st Annual MOM2JD6 Breast Cancer Awareness Event on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the Lawndale Community Center. Inspired by the loss of their beloved aunt to breast cancer, the mother-son duo created the event to honor survivors, support families, and provide vital resources to the community. The free public gathering will feature survivor testimonies, guest speakers, youth volunteer opportunities, and a Pink & Denim theme to show solidarity in the fight against breast cancer.
