Man killed in possible hit and run in Sun Valley, LAPD says

A man was killed in a possible hit-and-run in Sun Valley early Wednesday, May 11 police said.

Another man walking in the area of Saticoy Street near Hinds Avenue saw the victim’s body lying in the roadway at around 3:45 a.m., the Los Angeles Police Department said.

The driver who hit him was not there — police said the victim’s injuries “were consistent with being hit by a vehicle traveling westbound Saticoy.” Police did not detail what injuries the victim had.

The victim was described as being “possibly in his late 20s.” LAPD did not release his name.

LAPD had no information on a suspect — officials said the city offers rewards of $50,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction of suspects in crimes. The agency asked anyone with information about the crash to call detectives at (818) 644-8033 or (818) 644-8117.
