A man was shot to death by a sheriff’s deputy Sunday in Altadena.
The deputy-involved shooting occurred around 5:15 p.m. in the 2100 block of Altadena Avenue, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported. The suspect died at the scene.
There was no immediate word on the events that precipitated the confrontation between the deceased and the deputy. The man’s name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
