Metallica will bring its M72 World Tour to SoFi Stadium for two unique shows

Following its sold-out annual All Within My Hands Helping Hands concert and auction at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Dec. 16, Los Angeles-formed metal band Metallica will embark on its recently announced, two-year M72 World Tour.

The outing will see the band playing two nights at every stop and presenting two completely different sets each evening with different supporting acts. The tour comes to SoFi Stadium in Inglewood Friday, Aug. 25 with Pantera and Mammoth WVH and Sunday, Aug. 27 with Five Finger Death Punch and Ice Nine Kills. The tour will also feature an all-new in-the-round stage, the I Disappear full-tour pass and the debut of discounted tickets for fans under 16 years of age.

Two-day tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 2 at Ticketmaster.com and include the option of pre-ordering the band’s new album, “72 Seasons,” which is due out April 14, on vinyl or CD. Single-day tickets will be available starting at 10 a.m. Jan. 20. The official presale begins for Citi cardmembers at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30 and runs through 10 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1 at citientertainment.com.
