One of the items on Mississippi Mass Choir’s recording bucket list was to do a tribute to its founder Frank Williams, featuring his daughter Jessica Williams. Opportunities arose in previous recordings, but the right song was missing. In their latest recording, “We Still Believe,” both the perfect time and song came together with “When I Talk To You.” This song primarily references and speaks to the Heavenly Father, but it also gives Jessica the opportunity to speak to her earthly father, Frank Williams, who passed away when she was six years old. “When I Talk To You” is part of the Mississippi Mass Choir ‘s live recording at Word of Life Church in Flowood, MS, which also featured Tina Campbell, Brian Courtney Wilson, Crystal Aikin, Rev. Milton Biggham, and Paul Porter. The release will mark the Grammy-nominated choir’s 11th album and is set to drop later this year.
