National Signing Day: Recap of the high school football signings in December

Some of the top high school football players in the area won’t be signing a National Letter of Intent today, Wednesday, Feb. 1.

That’s because they made their college decisions weeks ago and signed during the early signing period for football in late December.

The list of early signees includes some of the Southland’s biggest stars in the Class of 2023: Malachi Nelson … Makai Lemon … Matayo Uiagalelei … Pierce Clarkson … Deven Bryant … Dijon Stanley … Ryan Staub … Chase Martin … Ty Dieffenbach … Deijon Laffitte … Christian Pierce … Richie Munoz … Solomon Davis … Ryan McCulloch.

There were others, too, who announced their signings in early January, including Jamari Johnson and Leviticus Su’a.

In case you missed those announcements, here are links to the Southern California News Group’s recap of the early signings.

And we’ll have extensive coverage of the athletes who sign today and begin their college journeys.
