Rams QB Matthew Stafford missing Cardinals game

INGLEWOOD — Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, who is in the NFL concussion protocol, was ruled out for Sunday’s home game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray was also ruled out with a hamstring injury. The Week 10 NFC West game will likely have a starting quarterback matchup of Arizona’s Colt McCoy versus the Rams’ John Wolford.

Wolford, the Rams’ backup quarterback since 2019, made his first career start versus the Cardinals during the final week of the 2020 regular season to help the Rams clinch a playoff berth. Stafford hasn’t missed a game since 2019.

More to come.
