Rams receiver Allen Robinson ruled out of Chiefs game

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Wide receiver Allen Robinson joined quarterback Matthew Stafford and wide receiver Cooper Kupp as key offensive players not available for the Rams on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Robinson, who was limited during practice this week with an ankle injury, was ruled out 90 minutes before the Week 12 matchup at Arrowhead Stadium. Stafford was also on the inactive list because he’s in the concussion protocol.

Backup Bryce Perkins got the start at quarterback, a tough task without starting wideouts Robinson and Kupp, who’s on injured reserve with an ankle injury.

The loss of Robinson and Kupp created opportunities for wide receivers Van Jefferson, Tutu Atwell, Ben Skowronek, Brandon Powell and Lance McCutcheon.

Left tackle Ty Nsekhe (ankle) and center Brian Allen (thumb) were also ruled out Sunday. A.J. Arcuri, a rookie seventh-round pick, became the fourth lineman to start at left tackle for the Rams this season.

More to come.
