Renaissance Tour Could Net Beyonce $2 Billion

Kisha Smith

They call her Queen Bey for nothing as the revenues from her Renaissance tour — set to kick off today (May 10) in Stockholm, Sweden— are sure to show. The 57-show tour may not only be the singer’s most successful to date, but could earn her nearly $2.1 billion (according to Forbes Magazine) and become the highest grossing music tour by a female artist.

In fact, one insider estimates that revenues from the tour could exceed the profits she’s earned from all of her previous tours combined. Given the number of fans that have paid a high average of about $700, it’s not surprising. That, of course, does not include what she will earn from merchandise sales, sponsors and partnerships.

As reported by Billboard Magazine, previous tours have grossed the Houston native  $767.3 million having sold 8.9 million tickets across 375 shows. The estimate of $713 million to $2.4 billion is based on all 57 concerts being sold out in venues with average seating capacity of 65,000+.

But just as she earns like a superstar, she also spends like one. The $100,000 a night penthouse suite she stayed in for a private concert she did in Dubai earlier this year was fit for a queen.
