Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) clapped back after former President Donald Trump called her a “low I.Q. person” during an NBC News interview. Trump, speaking with Kristen Welker about his first 100 days in office, named Crockett while claiming Democrats are in “total disarray.”
Crockett responded on X: “For you to be in charge of the WHOLE country, you sure do have my name in your mouth a lot… Every time you say my name, you’re reminding the world that you’re terrified of smart, bold Black women telling the truth and holding you accountable.” Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the freshman congresswoman Crockett said she’d “absolutely” take a head-to-head I.Q. test against Trump.
