Russell Peters will headline The Show at Agua Caliente Rancho Mirage

Stand-up comedian Russell Peters is coming to Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa in Rancho Mirage on Saturday, May 27 as part of the Russell Peters: The Act Your Age World Tour!

The Canadian comic and actor began performing in 1989. In 2004, Peters got his first big break performing on the Canadian TV show, “Comedy Now!,” featuring some of Canada’s rising comedians. The performance focused on individual cultural groups observed by Peters, a first-generation Indian-Canadian whose comedic style involves highlighting racial, ethnic, class and cultural stereotypes.

Peters was the first comedian to sell out Air Canada Centre in 2007. He has succeeded in other markets, including in the United States, where he hosted one of the last shows for legendary comedian George Carlin before his death.

On Oct. 14, 2013, Peters and Netflix released the comedy special “Notorious.” It was the first stand-up comedy special to be released on the streaming service. In addition to his stand-up comedy endeavors,  Peters wrote and produced the television series, “The Indian Detective,” in 2017 and currently hosts his podcast, “Culturally Cancelled with Russell Peters.”
