Social Distortion will replace Yeah Yeah Yeahs at KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas

Iconic Southern California punk band Social Distortion has replaced the Yeah Yeah Yeahs for KROQ-FM’s Almost Acoustic Christmas on Saturday, Dec. 10, Social D frontman Mike Ness revealed Friday. Ness made the announcement during a call into the Klein/Ally Show on KROQ-FM/106.7 early Friday.

Social Distortion is currently at the start of a run of shows this month in Orange County and Los Angeles, during which they plan to mix classic hits with songs from their first new album in years.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs guitarist Nick Zinner is currently recovering from pneumonia, according to a tweet on the band’s Twitter page which also wished him a happy birthday on Thursday.

Almost Acoustic Christmas 2022, taking place at Kia Forum in Inglewood, also features Imagine Dragons, the Black Keys, Death Cab For Cutie, Jimmy Eat World, Yungblood, Maneskin, the Interrupters, and Wet Leg.
