Former Death Row Records co-founder Suge Knight is set to release a new memoir this summer titled Your Pain Is My Joy, offering what publishers describe as a “candid and unapologetic look inside the mind of the original rap kingpin.” The book, written while Knight is incarcerated following his 2018 no contest plea to voluntary manslaughter, will be published by Simon & Schuster’s Gallery Books and is scheduled for release on Aug. 4. In it, Knight recounts defining moments from his rise in the music industry, including long-rumored incidents such as allegedly dangling rapper Vanilla Ice off a balcony, his rivalry with Bad Boy Records’ Sean “Diddy” Combs, and the night Tupac Shakur was fatally shot while riding in a car with him in Las Vegas.
