Dinosaurs in the Valley: An outdoor, immersive walk-through to see life-size and life-like animatronic dinosaurs, opens Nov. 18 and runs through selected dates through Dec. 18. Light Up Main Street! Newhall: The City of Santa Clarita presents the event, 5-8 p.m. Nov. 19. Event includes a snow zone, a Maker’s Marketplace of gift sales, arts and crafts workshop, photos with Santa Claus, restaurants along Main Street and food trucks. Hollywood Christmas Parade: The 90th annual parade is hosted by Dean Cain, Erik Estrada, Laura McKenzie, Elizabeth Stanton and Montel Williams, 6 p.m. Nov. 27. Saugus High School Marching Centurions: The school’s band and color guard have been invited to participate in the 2023 Memorial Day parade in Washington D.C. and are currently fundraising for the trip.

The group has created a podcast, launched first on Sept. 15, with a new episode to be released every two weeks thereafter until Thanksgiving. The podcast will include students reflections on what the group has experienced during the past number of years (wildfires, school shooting, Covid-19 pandemic and remote learning and the return to competitions) and how they got to be invited to perform in the parade. Each download of the podcast supports the group and raises funds so they can march in the parade.
