Amanda Gorman, the nation’s first Youth Poet Laureate, has been named the newest ambassador for UNICEF, joining the international nonprofit in its mission to protect and uplift children worldwide. In her new role, Gorman will help amplify efforts to safeguard children’s rights, expand access to education and essential services, and increase public engagement around the urgent issues affecting young people’s safety and development across the globe. “Working with UNICEF has shown me that when we choose to uplift children, we are choosing to uplift our shared future.
