UCLA update: The Bruins were off this week, but sneaked into the AP’s top 10 for the first time since 2015, coming in at No. 9. With USC losing on Saturday, UCLA is the lone unbeaten team in the conference and controls its own destiny to the Pac-12 championship game. … UCLA is coming off back-to-back wins against ranked opponents, also for the first time since 2015, with wins at home over then-No. 15 Washington and then-No. 11 Utah. It will play a third ranked opponent in a row at No. 10 Oregon on Saturday. … Dorian Thompson-Robinson, who passed Brett Hundley last week for most touchdown passes in UCLA history, is second in the nation in completion percentage at 74.8%.

Oregon update: The Ducks also had a bye week and are ranked right behind UCLA at No. 10. Oregon also has a clear track to the Pac-12 championship game if it wins out. … Oregon is coming off a 49-22 win over Arizona last week. Quarterback Bo Nix was 20 of 25 passing for 265 yards. He also ran for three touchdowns on eight carries for 70 yards, part of a 300-plus yard rushing effort for Oregon. The Ducks lead the Pac-12 in total yardage (512.5 yards per game) and rushing (241.7). … ESPN’s College Gameday will be at Eugene for the matchup between top 10 teams unbeaten in conference play.
