UCLA update: The Bruins ran all over the Buffaloes in a 45-17 win in Colorado, and are off to a 4-0 start for the first time since 2015. … Any questions over running back Zach Charbonnet’s health were answered by his three-touchdown, 104-yard performance. UCLA’s up-tempo offense went for 515 total yards and was balanced: 266 yards receiving and 249 yards rushing. … The Bruins continue to outpace opponents in the second half after outscoring Colorado 24-7 in the third and fourth quarters. UCLA has outscored opponents 78-21 after halftime this season.
Washington update: The Huskies burst onto the national spotlight by beating Michigan State in Week 3, and followed that up with a 40-22 win over Stanford this week. It has won every game by double digits. … Led by Indiana transfer Michael Penix Jr. at quarterback, No. 15 Washington’s offense had “just” 478 yards of offense in the win after amassing over 500 yards in each of the first three games. The Huskies lead the Pac-12 in points per game (44.0) and yards per game (530.8). … Washington’s defense also recorded eight sacks against Stanford, its most since 2016.
