Black Angus auctions restaurant art in Whittier on Dec. 5

Black Angus Steakhouse has begun selling of art that hung on the walls of its restaurants in a series of auctions.

Some of the photos are by acclaimed cowboy photographer David R. Stoecklein, according to a news release from the Sherman Oaks-based chain.

Photos are matted and framed. Proceeds will benefit the Art of Elysium, an organization that supports the work of artists assisting people in need.

Southern California auctions will take place through Dec. 12, the news release said.

The next auction will take place 3-10 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5 at Whittier’s Black Angus, 15500 Whittier Blvd., and online at go.charityauctionstoday.com/bid/bawhittier

A Nov. 30 auction in Montclair attracted bids of $50-$100.

Winners must pick up their artwork within 48 hours of the purchasing period.

Information on other auctions was not available at press time.
