DAILY NEWS GIRLS ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Name: Taylor Treahy

School: Saugus

Sport: Volleyball

Year: Junior

Noteworthy: Treahy, an opposite hitter, led the team in kills and hitting percentage (.450) in their three wins last week that helped Saugus clinch its first Foothill League title in 11 years. Treahy’s best match was an 18-kill performance in a sweep of Canyon.

The Centurions earned the No. 1 seed and a first-round bye in the CIF Southern Section Division 4 playoffs. They will play the winner of Warren and Thousand Oaks in the second round at home Saturday.
